My name is Rebecca Chapman and I am the Principal Designate at Clover Leys Spencer. At Spencer Academies Trust we are all excited about the opening of the new school in September welcoming our first EYFS children. It is going to be an amazing journey opening a new school and I am so pleased that I will be sharing this adventure with you and your child.
At Clover Leys we encourage children to respect one another in order to create lifelong friendships, to value their education so that they can be ambitious and have vision for their future and most importantly to have fun and laughter during their time at primary school.
Currently, we are a small but dedicated team who are looking forward to welcoming the children of Boulton Moor in their first steps of formal education. We cannot wait until September 2021 and then the opening of the school in September 2022.
The academy will be a part of the Spencer Academies Trust and will have close links to both Wyndham and Chetwynd Primary schools – both of which are outstanding academies within the Trust, leading on educational development through research across the East Midlands. George Spencer Academy, the founding member of The Spencer Academy Trust, is a Teaching School and Maths Hub which provides the following;
- Initial Teacher Training
- School Leadership Development
- Continuing Professional Development for teachers and teaching assistants
- School to School Support
- Opportunities to develop research-based learning and teaching initiatives, particularly in mathematics as an area Maths Hub.
The new academy will be well supported by the Trust’s central team and by the other schools within the group: currently thirteen primary, 8 secondary and a primary aged special school (which is also a Teaching School in its own right). Four of the schools within The Spencer Academy Trust have World Class status: Wyndham Primary, George Spencer Academy, Rushcliffe Academy and St Giles Special School.
