Our Classes

Buttercups – EYFS

The Buttercup Class is our Early Years Foundation Class led by Mrs Moore and supported by Mrs Rebecca Westbrook. The class is also supported by a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Miss Katie Willmott and a TA Apprentice, Emily Wright. Reception is the last year of an important development process which children start from birth. A child’s experience between birth and age five have a significant impact on their future. At Clover Leys we are dedicated to providing a secure and opportunistic curriculum that engages and inspires. We believe that every child is unique and we understand the importance of getting to know them by promoting positive relationships. We also believe that their environment will enable them to develop and explore, understanding what they enjoy and makes them want to learn.

Daffodils – Year 1

Our Year 1 class is taught by Miss Brogan Begley and supported full time by Miss Holly Fowkes. Year 1 is also supported part-time by Miss Katie Willmott, who works as a Higher Teaching Learning Assistant and Miss Emily Wright, who is a TA Apprentice.

Year 1 gives pupils the opportunities to move away from continuous provision and work to a more structured timetable, with English and Maths being taught everyday.

Sunflowers – Year 2

Our Year 2 class is taught by Mr Theo Beaver and supported by two full time Teaching Assistants, Mr George Williamson and Mrs Shahla Mustafa. The class is also supported by a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Miss Katie Willmott and a TA Apprentice Emily Wright.

Year 2 is the final year of Key Stage 1. Pupils are encouraged and supported to study a wide and broad curriculum through our topic based curriculum.
